Dervishes can disrupt the Meditation Garden's resource generation by standing nearby, even though they can't attack.
Desert Raider and Archer can be effective against Zhuge Nu and Crossbow with Lancer support.
Getting +2 range defense is especially important against Zhuge Nu.
Against Zhu Xi, forcing them into a ranged mass makes the Manjaniq the expected answer.
When up against Zhu Xi, they have pretty good answers to most things, but not to Gulams. Gulams are pretty good at surviving a little bit of fire, especially with no military upgrades.
Desert Raiders lacking pierce armor is always dangerous when up against Zhuge Nu, since they deal heavy pierce damage.
Ghulams are quite nice up against Zhuge Nu because they do move faster and also do a lot more damage to unarmored units.
Desert raiders are really bad against Zhuge Nu.
Zhuge Nu are slow-moving, so Zhu Xi has a much slower response to multi-pronged attacks; Ayyubid can exploit this by poking on multiple sides to stretch attention.
