Chinese with a mass Zhuge Nu play can do phenomenally now that the Lords of Lancaster have been nerfed in the health pool; Zhuge Nu will be able to take them down a lot quicker.
Against House of Lancaster, you can't immediately go for a dark age dock because you don't know what they have in store.
The additional range on the Yeoman and additional speed makes it that theoretically the Zhuge Nu can barely even get a range to touch them.
In China's case, the answer to the Abbey of Kings/Hobelar/Lord strategy is the Zhuge Nu, but the Zhuge Nu requires quite an investment to even unlock.
The Abbey of Kings gives an immediate Lord of Lancaster for free, meaning the Chinese player can't just immediately click Pro Scout; they have to invest in some military units first.
Lords of Lancaster are so slow; once they get out of position and caught, they fall quite easily if you're able to get a few units around them.
With so many Spearmen, it doesn't make a real big difference against the Hobelars because the bonus damage is not much, but against the Lords of Lancaster, as you surround them with Spears it really adds up quickly.
If House of Lancaster gets Hobelars out ASAP, they can potentially cut off the Chinese deer completely.
Palace guards just don't serve as that great of a tanking unit up against the Yeomen and Spearmen with the Billmen upgrade, able to debuff the units.
With the bonus health from Lords of Lancaster, even with the hand cannon placements from the Chinese TC, the bonus health is a direct counter. Earl's Guards are able to dive much deeper.
Fire Lancers can easily dive past the Lancaster Castle because you can't garrison and it doesn't do a lot of damage.
