It's really tough if you open with Spearman because you have to play defensively and have no map presence. The standard strategy with Delhi here is to open stables; if you are forced to open with spearman, you are setting yourself on the back foot.

Delhi tends to have a really good match up against Jeanne d'Arc in general because the Ghazi raiders get bonus damage against heavy cavalry, which is a great extra when it comes to fighting knights.

JD has reigned supreme for quite a while. The Gazi raiders, they have maces cuz they do a little bit of bonus damage to armored units, but pound for pound a knight just feels a lot better when it hits into a Gazi and especially with time JD will have that discount on them as well.

The hope is that you can use the Gazi to snipe JD at the start of the fight, but that's really banking on the JD player messing up a lot.

If JD is able to stay alive, get off her core abilities, keep the knights nice and healthy with the heal, keep everything going, keep everything smooth, and get into that castage, the timing can get really oppressive.
