AGE OF EMPIRES IV
CIVILISATION MATCHUPS
YOUR CIV
OPPONENT
A Chinese variant built around massed Zhuge Nu, a rapid-fire crossbow infantry that reaches critical mass fast when buffed by Imperial Officials and double ranges. Cheap early dynasties fund fast age-ups and early Palace Guard pressure, while Ming Dynasty upgrades push its unique units to overwhelming late-game strength.
Matchup advice1 TIPS
Something that is very nice for Golden Horde as a civilization is that when it comes to auras, having auras in the game when you're up against Zhuge Nu, just being able to have the plus one pierce armor with the Kharash is incredibly incredibly potent. You don't necessarily need the age up with the plus two ranged armor because armored units in general already take very little damage from Zhuge Nu baseline. But being able to extend that to other unarmored units with the Kharash is actually pretty good.
