Matchup tips
Spear rushing against Delhi can have mixed results because of the scholar healing villagers; you need three spears to outdamage the healing instead of two.
Tower rushing Delhi is difficult because the early scholar's healing lets villagers safely pull to burn outposts before they complete.
The War Elephant is a stopping stone against Hobelar raiding and demands respect.
Against Delhi, the rapid production of Ghazi Raiders means you can suddenly face 10 of them early in Feudal.
Hobelar are lower-end horsemen compared to Ghazi Raiders, which are higher-end.
House of Learning takes a while, so Delhi is not going to get those upgrades too quickly, giving Lancaster an opening to take fights, especially considering Delhi upgrades take a while.
Delhi pumps units quickly and effectively, but food is a limited resource, and the Delhi farm transition is often painful. By contrast, Lancaster has Manners to tide them over in their transition, so Delhi has a timer to make something happen before running out of food.
