Hobelars lose in a straight fight against Malian Sofa cavalry; they are better used for raiding and harassing than engaging other cavalry directly.
House of Lancaster should prioritize killing Donso (Malians' spearmen) to allow Hobelars to freely engage Javelin Throwers.
King's College knights are really nice against Sofas. With the upgrade from King's College, your knights deal an additional +6 damage to heavy armored units, and Sofas fully count as heavy armor.
The pit mines and cattle provide so much passive income that not even the Manor economy can keep up.
