Rus is really good on this map because you can spam hunting cabins along tree lines and generate a lot of gold. Good thing for House of Lancaster is they have cheaper ponies, so you can actually pony up a lot more push and burn with Hobelars.
Not only do you have the Yeoman, but there's no better horsemen in the game against cavalry archers than the Hobelar. It's so crazy when you get the charge, you almost one shot cavalry archers. It's legitimately 50 plus damage with a charge. Two charging Hobelars kill a cavalry archer on impact, on top of the 8 seconds it takes to train a single one. Very cheap unit as well.
The horseman crossbow composition against the horse archer and knight mass from Rus. Once you get 20+ crossbows and 20+ Hobelars, you can start taking fights well by one-shotting the knights, but Boyar's Fortitude can delay your effectiveness.
With extra Yeomen, you have extra arrows when dealing with Horse Archers, which makes sense especially when you want to protect a woodline next to your Lancaster Castle.
A mannor takes roughly 3 minutes to pay off for itself. However, Rus already have a great economy baseline, so it's not an immediate advantage.
