There's few better answers than the armored spearman to raider elephants.

If there's one matchup where you feel forced to go into the Angevin Empire commandery, it's going to be this one. You're not dealing with raider elephants without some of the best spearman in the game.

The heavy spearman are fantastic against the raider elephants, but they die so easy to crossbows. And it's not like your other choices would be that good either. Genitours, what are they going to do realistically? And the other option, the Genoese crossbowmen, well, it's not like Tughlaq really relies on infantry at all, which is what the Genoese crossbowmen are for.

The Amir Warriors can't go too deep. Remember, they have an aura range. They go out of it, they begin to decay, they move really slow.

The Chevalier Confrere should be able to beat Raider Elephants, but the spear is going to force you to transition. Raider elephants are really good at accessing archers. Unless you add spearman, you can't stop them because that trample ability lets them walk over your entire front line and straight onto your archers.
