Malians is one of the better anti-pro scout civs on this map because of the widespread of deer. Opening scouts is a great way of stopping pro scouts. And what makes it more problematic for the Joan and French factions is because they just want to build knights. They have less entities to guard each side of the map.
Remember, the donzos can hurl their spears at her to almost kill her off. Sofas also get bonus damage against her.
You just can't trust donzos against Royal Institute knights.
