If you can get a good mass of archers and Sofas together in feudal, it's great. However, Rus has access to knights in feudal age, so it makes it a little bit more complicated.
Warrior Scouts in mass can effectively take down Knights because you can pull back weak ones and they outrun Knights while regenerating.
Against Rus Knight-Archer composition, just go Sofa and Donso probably.
Poison Arrows is less important for archer fights; it's meant to enable your archers against Knights.
Rus can't do a fast castle into Men-at-Arms against Malians because Musofadi are a nightmare for them.
Don't sleep on the Donso; if you park a couple of them near a deer pack, they can throw their spears and do devastating damage to scouts, meaning those deer don't go anywhere.
Freeborn Warriors may not have enough pierce armor to deal effectively against mass Horse Archers.
