AGE OF EMPIRES IV
CIVILISATION MATCHUPS
YOUR CIV
OPPONENT
A Chinese variant built around massed Zhuge Nu, a rapid-fire crossbow infantry that reaches critical mass fast when buffed by Imperial Officials and double ranges. Cheap early dynasties fund fast age-ups and early Palace Guard pressure, while Ming Dynasty upgrades push its unique units to overwhelming late-game strength.
Matchup advice5 TIPS
The Zhuge Nu are just a lot slower in comparison to the Javelin Throwers.
Eventually the deer runs out. The cows are forever.
When you're up against those Zhuge Nu, the Javelin Throwers do so well, but you need to make sure you spend a lot of time microing.
Against Zhu Xi Zhuge Nu, Malian players have had great success going into Donso.
Sofas do really good damage, but it's difficult to mass a lot of them early on. You probably won't have the mass to surround a Horseman.
