How to beat
Ayyubidas Mongols
Matchup tips
When going Silver Tree trade as Mongols, build military presence first so you don't lose your traders.
In Castle Age without Kurultai, there's no way the Mongol army ever holds a candle to the Ayyubid army. They have better units and better siege.
Mongol archers are just better in the feudal age than Ayyubid archers due to that extra range that the Khan's Hunter will give.
With incendiary arrows, elite archers are going to be on a tear against most of what Ayyubids have; only the camel lancers have a chance of surviving for a while longer.
I think tower rushing also isn't the most optimal here as the Mongols mainly for the reason that if the Ayyubids age up with the logistics wing and they get the free Dervishes with it, it is very very easy for them to just burn down the Outpost. Incredibly easy for them to just burn down the Outpost or they could also just go to another gold and if you spearman just rally after like villagers with Dervish healing support can just take any fight up against spears.
Once you get the +2 bonus damage upgrade with the improved upgrade for Mangudai, combine that with Incendiary, all the +1 damage upgrades, bonus range, and a Khan Hunter, and suddenly the Mangudai, even with the 20% damage nerf, will do about 14 damage per shot, and against Desert Raiders which don't have pierce armor, they absolutely shred them.
Crossbows can handle Camel Lancers.
Keshik plus archers should be able to beat Desert Raiders, especially because Desert Raiders take a long time to build.
If the Mongols get a couple of horsemen out, that forces the Desert Raiders into melee mode to beat the horsemen, and then they can't focus on the Mangudai at the same time.
If you have a decent mass of Mangudai, plus with the Khan and Khan Hunter, the Khan can use its signal arrow to make the Mangudai move faster, so Desert Raiders don't usually catch up to you.
Mongol players are adjusting by not going Silver Tree; Silver Tree is a death sentence against Ayyubids. With Deer Stones there is a timing for an all-in feudal push with a gradual transition to Castle.
Mangudai don't have a lot of damage to play with, so even losing one damage from the camel debuff is pretty pivotal for them.
Desert Raiders don't have any ranged armor, so if Mangudai can catch up to them, they go down very quickly.
If Mongols don't have the Deer Stones speed buff, Ayyubid Horsemen can catch up to Mangudai.
Desert Raiders have 5 melee armor, Keshiks have 3. The camel debuff reduces Keshik damage from 15 to 12, so they deal 7 damage per hit, while Desert Raiders hit for 26 damage, dealing 23 after armor. So it's 23 damage versus 7.
