Dark age aggression isn't too viable for both HRE and Order of the Dragon. HRE gets more movement speed, but Order of the Dragon gets stronger units even with a delay. So defensively, Order of the Dragon is stronger; aggressively, HRE is a bit stronger. They cancel each other out.
Double gilded knight. Great start to raid at the beginning of this age. Especially when you know that the HRE player is going to be forced to come out on the map to try and get relics, but simultaneously be setting up a static economy in a very obvious location at that Aachen Chapel.
HRE's entire army comp gets countered by gilded crossbowman. All of it. Like, your normal crossbows easily lose against gilded. Knights lose. Men-at-arms lose.
Order of the Dragon gets a baseline +28% gather rate on villagers; HRE needs to actively inspire for +35%.
Order of the Dragon feel a lot more solid on water just because they're not restricted to that Aachen Chapel influence with their villagers.
