With the camels on the way, he has to invest in the barracks. That's the great thing about having these dervishes in already. Essentially, these two desert raiders, you consider them as more than just two. Every time he loses almost one and then heals it all the way back up again, that's like having a fresh brand new Desert Raider. You could calculate value that way and say that's x amount of resources you're gaining by healing them with these dervishes.
I would expect a seasoned player would not go for the eco- wing here. It's probably going to be the dervish wing. You want to get your dervishes out in feudal. With that, you're putting yourself so much further ahead in terms of being able to respond to any feudal aggression, being able to do a little bit of feudal aggression yourself, but you're up against Rus. And Rus does have that ability to just kind of stay under their TC and go fast castle.
In this matchup you cannot just spam Cav archers. It just doesn't work. The debuff is too great and you just end up not being able to do any damage to armored units with these cavalry archers.
Cav archers typically great, great, great unit. Not in this match-up. Not in this match-up. Now that 20% camel unease debuffing all other horse units doesn't feel good.
There is a barracks coming in for Rus, but barracks up against desert raiders whenever they switch over to the ranged mode, the spearmen just kind of look at it and go, 'Well, my spear's too short. I can't reach.' The ranged damage isn't that much, but they can just kite for days and you don't have healing as Rus.
