The landmark snipe would have been legitimate because with abbasid you cannot quickly drop down a landmark. If he tries it against Chinese, that's not going to work. Chinese can drop a landmark elsewhere and they are going to survive. But abbasid only have two landmarks to take out.

Desert Raiders are terrible against Zhuge Nu, but really good against the horsemen timing.

Horsemen will be fine as long as you don't get to the critical mass of Zhuge Nu, but with double ranges and an Imperial Official buffing them, Zhu Xi can reach that critical mass very quickly and start one-shotting Horsemen.
